🍪 Minimal cookies
easySAR uses a very small number of browser storage mechanisms. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or any cookies that profile you across websites.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and provide information to site operators. easySAR uses localStorage (a similar browser storage mechanism) rather than traditional cookies for its core function.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| sar_subs | localStorage | Stores a count of SAR submissions made today to enforce the 3/day rate limit. Contains timestamps only — no personal data. | Cleared on browser data clear |
| Analytics cookies | Cookie | [To be completed — e.g. privacy-respecting analytics such as Plausible or Fathom] | [Duration] |
The personal information you enter into easySAR — your name, address, date of birth, and the organisations you SAR — is held only in JavaScript memory during your browser session. It is never written to cookies, localStorage, or any server. When you close the tab, it is permanently gone.
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling localStorage will prevent the rate limiting feature from working correctly, but the core SAR functionality will still operate.
We will update this page if we introduce any new cookies or storage mechanisms. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
